Here are my current priorities for committees to be on, always subject to what I learn from you between now and January.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY (JOINT)
Most of my professional experience has been in information management and technology, so I have deep personal knowledge and experience to draw from and apply.

EDUCATION
Learning is important to every family. For me it’s one of life’s great joys. Also, I have been on the Banks School District’s Budget Committee since 2012.

WAYS AND MEANS (JOINT)
I have a Management degree, and early in my career was a business manager and accountant. Sometimes it is all about the money.

AGRICULTURE, LAND USE, NATURAL RESOURCES, AND WATER
Most of us in House District 31 live rurally, so this committee has special significance for us. And we all need water.

CLIMATE, ENERGY, AND ENVIRONMENT
The urgency of daily life can be overwhelming at times. I want to make sure that we don’t ignore the long term effects of what we do. As a science geek who is into geology, physics, thermodynamics, and ecology, I enjoy the subject matter. And as a long-time wilderness hiker, I appreciate visiting places where the human footprint is light and all the other species of life in Oregon can thrive as they have for eons.
